About me
I bring warmth, empathy and creativity to my work with clients and believe that the most healing part of therapy is the relationship created during this process. My approach engages you in an exploration of your life on an intellectual, emotional and spiritual level and you are offered space to share difficult feelings in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Whilst I am qualified and ethical, I'm not interested in hiding behind a professional persona, but enjoy meeting clients as fellow human beings, journeying together. I also have a rich life outside of being a therapist. I love my dogs and I am also a children's book author and illustrator and have a particular interest in working with fellow creatives.
My approach to couples therapy
Bringing your relationship to therapy creates a space where each partner can learn about the dynamic that is being created and their role in it, and to find ways to better communicate and to listen. I work with all kinds of relationships, not just romantic ones, and I have undertaken further training in Couples and Relationship therapy from The Grove Practice and The Gottman Institute.
Our first couples session
We'll usually spend some time exploring what brings you to therapy, what each of you understands as the issue, and what you would like to be different going forwards. You'll have space and time to explain what feels most pressing, and to ask me questions so we can make sure I am the right therapist to support you.
